Building Donations All gifts are tax deductible. This building project is for a Christian daycare and outreach center. The type of daycare we are building: There are 2 types of daycares: Type 1 - structured throughout the day with teaching incorporated. This type is more expensive. Type 2 - little to no structure, focused on free play. This type is usually less expensive. We will be a Type 1 daycare with Type 2 prices. This would be a service to the community because the children would get the developmental learning and christian influence that working parents often cannot provide, but at a cost that they can afford. What will we teach? We will teach the necessary skills for kindergarten such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, & shapes. We will also teach the children necessary personal information such as the child's first, middle and last name, home address and phone number, and parents' or guardians' names. Also they will develop large and small muscle skills. In addition, the children will be taught biblical principles, such as who God and Jesus are & why they are important to us. The children will learn to love learning and the bible in our fun and educational atmosphere. Why do we need donations? To be able to make our daycare the quality we'd like at a price the community can afford, we would need to build the building with the smallest mortgage possible. With a large mortgage, we would have large monthly payments. Thus, we would have to have a higher weekly cost to parents. And lower pay for teachers. But a smaller mortgage means lower monthly payments to us, and lower weekly payments for the parents (and higher pay for teachers). So not only will we be able to provide a higher quality service, but we can do it at a lower cost to help those in this depressed area. We need to expand the building because as it is right now, the building is not suitable for a daycare. Also, with more space we will be able to expand our food pantry to help us serve those in need in our community. How much bigger will the building be? And how much do you need? The addition is 5000 sq ft. To build the whole thing, we need $250,000. The contractor would like to break ground by July 2008. Sounds great!
