Outing to the Newport Aquarium - Saturday, March 1, 2008
This is the group that went to the Aquarium.
Pastor Troy's oldest son, Josh, looking at some fish.
These fish were pretty cool. Below the water they looked like fish; above the water they looked like frogs.
Some members looking at some sharks.
The outings are not only a time for family fun, they're a time for fellowship with other members.
Debbie looking at turtle skulls. Note the information on the wall - the Aquarium is not only fun, but it's educational.
In the shark cage simulator.
Pretty scary for the little ones.
Mural of a Giant Squid on the wall.
One of the sharks.
Another of the sharks hiding from us. :)
Steve holding his grandson up to see some fish.
Alligators! AAHHH!!! :)
A newer addition to the Aquarium: otters.
They were a big hit with the kids!
Lorakeets
Pastor Troy's oldest son, Josh, feeding 2 Lorakeets.
Then one jumped on Pastor's arm!
It started drinking nectar from his cup while Josh looked on.
Pastor Troy is a Lorakeet fan now. :)
Teen Kelly offered to hold Pastor Troy's youngest son, Matthew, all day. Bless her!
Matthew looking at the sharks swiming overhead.
Emperor penguins
They had a new baby! We couldn't see it, though, because the mother was holding it back in a corner.
This outing was fun for everyone! Praise God for the good time, great weather, and safe travel!
